Playa de Famara - The longest beach on Lanzarote

In the northwest of Lanzarote there is the beach Playa de Famara. With its length of over two kilometers and its width up to one hundred meters, this artificially raised section is one of the Island's longest beaches.
Playa de Famara is located at the foot of the mighty Famara massif which rises a few hundred meters up into the sky.
The golden beach seems almost to be endless, crystal clear blue water invites you to swim. But be careful, there are strong undercurrents, especially on the west coast of lanzarote that draws even experienced swimmers into the Atlantic in seconds.
